(The handwriting on the post-it note, on the inside front cover, in the upper righthand corner, belongs to that of my mother, Helen Louise White, who at my request, pitched in so I could have an authentic touch. R.I.P. Mom.)

"Tanner Whitehall" was my pen name. I was 25 yrs old and really should have known better.


  1. That's so weird. I, also, had a teacher called "The Dragon Lady" in 1989. Another of the universe's amazing mysteries.

  2. Betcha a lot of us in 1989 had a "Dragon Lady" teacher. One of the "in real life" boys came up with that name and I appropriated it. I think it was Jeff Bethune.
